Podcast Episode 11 – Nailing it with Blogging and Social Media, part 2

Last week we talked about understanding what some of the most popular channels are for social media, and trying to understand which one is best for you. We also went over some basic blogging tips. This week is the continuation of that episode, where we talk about how to navigate your social media channel, regardless of which one you choose. (Missed it? Check it out here!)

In this episode, we get down to brass tacks in terms of understanding how social media works, and how to get the most out of it, whether you’re going to build a full scale social media strategy or just write a couple of posts to test the water.

We talk about:

  • Social Media Philosophy
  • Generating good content for your posts
  • Scheduling your posts
  • Engaging with the community and the specific people you want to engage with
  • Understanding Analytics

(Note: Thanks for your patience with our learning curve! We’re still getting the hang of podcast production, and you’ll notice a bit of distortion in the audio (last week as well as this week, since we cut both episodes in the same session. We spent some time researching our new equipment this week, and hopefully we’ll sound much clearer moving forward!)
